It sure is hot here, folks, and we have a few plants that you will like and hummingbirds will love!
The coral honeysuckle is a native climbing vine with tubular flowers that attract hummingbirds. This vine can reach 10-20 feet long and spreads about 3-6 feet. Semi-evergreen leaves mean it will keep its leaves green in warmer climates and drop some leaves in the winter. Blooms will begin in mid-spring and repeat flowering in the summer.
If you're looking for a bigger, flashier vine, the tangerine beauty will get 20-30 feet tall and up to 15-20 feet wide (if left unchecked). Blooming heavily in the spring, this vine attracts butterflies like crazy and will bloom sporadically through summer and fall. This one is also semi-evergreen or evergreen depending on the winter.
