Thank you for compiling this data and talking about the dark side of chocolate. Their chocolate is delicious too!

As of Valentine’s Day, we are now 100% a slave-free chocolate provider. All of our cacao for hot chocolates and mochas are from .collective and not a supermarket brand. It’s all ceremonial grade in the shop now. Which also means there are no heavy metals like cadmium which are in most chocolate brands. We still offer one of the best cacao products on the island ‘Holy Cacao’ by which is a combination of cacao, ashwaghanda, various mushrooms and the powerful maca. It’s a super drink. I have a scoop of holy cacao and ceremonial cacao every morning- along with other powerful ingredients which I will reveal when the time is right.

You can enjoy the Blue Hawaii Tea blend from (ingredients: Lemongrass, Butterfly Pea, Lavender, Spearmint, Chamomile, Vanilla, Ginger and Licorice) as is, OR you can add some citrus like lemon 🍋 to get that purple color.

What a year it has been for IMUA Coffee Roasters.
We added color to our logo, created a new website and mood board with graphic designer Leilani , changed the interior design, thanks to Melissa , and had a professional photo shoot with . We donated and participated in the and participated in the Kauai Chocolate and Coffee Festival .

We started serving and selling products from , , , , , , , and . All new this year, all Hawaiian businesses. We still serve IMUA chocolate bars!

We brought back Surfer’s Fuel, created by the previous and amazing owner of IMUA Coffee Roasters Steven .4legs. We started serving Papaya boats and Overnight oats.

Kim started working at IMUA in April, and recently Orama . Lele training and supporting IMUA through the many, many changes. The biggest one being we went plant-based June 6th. Anni
who was also a huge part of IMUA from the beginning with Steven, helped us so much, especially with the roasting in the beginning of this year and sage advice with just about everything. Actually another shoutout to Steven who has been there for us with our many questions and teaching Matt to roast.

Gina did end up leaving us for now, becoming a new mother in August, but was a strong part of the team right up until her delivery time.

We added two new wholesale accounts, and started up coffee delivery around the island. Letting Matt and I get to know some of our amazing customers.

We also increased our online orders by 200%. Almost another wholesale account!

We now make our chai in-house, our banana bread in-house, and add a new baked good here and there.

And we added Kona coffee from . A much requested item. Also making careful decisions to only buy organic and fair-trade coffee from Central and South America, and Indonesia to roast.

As the weather around the world is cooling we at IMUA noticed that our customers were increasingly opting for our papaya boats over anything baked. Having lived in a cold climate most of my life, I get it. When I travel to a tropical island I want the fresh fruit I can’t get at home. So thanks to our Barista (a local) we are now offering the perfect tropical Hawaiian fruit bowl. Fresh from the market : Papaya, mango, pineapple and apple banana. Topped with farm fresh mint and a Lilikoi syrup made in-house.
