The second Water Street Coffee Joint opened in the summer of 2003 on the corner of Oakland Drive and Whites Road in the Oakwood neighborhood. Housing a more spacious seating area and sizeable patio, the Oakland design inspiration comes from 1940’s architectural drawings and blueprint designs from the Bryant Paper Mill. Like the downtown location, Oakland offers house roasted, freshly brewed coffee, a full espresso bar, loose-leaf teas, shakes, smoothies and more. For a full list of drinks, check out the menu below. With a sizeable deli, Water Street Coffee Joint Oakland, has great eats to enjoy in the cafe or for take out. Don’t forget to try our favorites: Egg and Cheese Breakfast Burritos, Chicken Pecan Salad, Smoky Kale, Pork Buns, Spinach and Feta Turnovers, Fire-Roasted Tomato Soup and Chicken Pesto Paninis. Or, if you’ve got a sweet tooth choose from our daily muffins, scones, cookies, cakes, pies or dessert bars, all made from scratch using real ingredients in our kitchen. Fresh cut flowers, travel mugs, t-shirts, home brewing equipment, bagged coffee and bagged tea are available for purchase. Local art exhibits are hosted on a bi-monthly basis and feature a variety of media.

Our newest Fresh Crop Coffee has arrived — Ethiopia Natural Ardi — and our Downtown Café gets the first taste! On sale NOW exclusively at our Downtown Café, with online ordering and availability at our other locations coming by September.

Grown in the fertile Sidama region, this year’s bountiful harvest is full of sweet, juicy flavor thanks to healthy rainfall throughout the growing season. Expect sweet berry + ripe fruit notes layered with rich dark chocolate.
And if you want to give it a try before committing to a bag, stop by Thursday morning and catch our Senior Trainer, Arianna, brewing samples at the café! ☕️
