Tickets are now live for our next w**emaker dinner via OpenTable.

On Tuesday, October 20th, we have the incredible opportunity to host Jean-Nicolas Méo of Domaine Méo-Camuzet and Nicolas-Jay, for an intimate dinner exploring his work in two of the world’s great w**e regions: Burgundy and Oregon.

Jean-Nicolas is one of the most respected w**emakers working in Burgundy today. Since taking over his family’s historic domaine in Vosne-Romanée, Domaine Méo-Camuzet, he has spent more than three decades working with some of the most legendary vineyards in the Côte de Nuits.

In 2012, Jean-Nicolas began a new project on the other side of the world, founding Nicolas-Jay alongside longtime friend and music entrepreneur Jay Boberg in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. The w**ery gave him an opportunity to take everything he had learned over decades in Burgundy and apply that experience to a completely different place.

Throughout the evening, we’ll pour w**es from both sides of his life as a w**emaker alongside a special menu from Chef Thomas, while Jean-Nicolas shares stories and insights from his experiences in Burgundy and Oregon, the vineyards he works with, and the people and places behind the w**es.

We couldn’t be more excited to share this evening with you, and we look forward to welcoming you in.

There are still a few tickets available for our upcoming w**e dinner with David Hinkle, focusing on the w**es of Burgundy in France.

As Chief French Officer for Skurnik W**e & Spirits, David has spent more than 40 years as a Burgundy specialist, traveling extensively throughout the region and developing relationships with many of its most respected growers and producers.

It’s hard to overstate how exciting it to have him joining us for the evening, as he is widely regarded as one of the world’s foremost experts on Burgundy.

This intimate dinner will focus on the people and vineyards behind some of the most sought-after and compelling w**es in the world, poured alongside a special tasting menu from Chef Thomas. Throughout the evening, David will share insights, stories, and observations drawn from his extensive experience with Burgundy and its people.

We had so much fun sharing w**e with you in a unique way this past July with our Wednesday night w**e bar “Pop Ins” on the bar side of our restaurant. This August, we will be hosting only one, but it’s going to be epic.

Wednesday August 12th, Ronnie Sanders, founder and owner of Vine Street Imports, will be spending the evening with us pouring the w**es and sharing the stories of the farmers and w**emakers he’s been cultivating relationships with and representing for the past 27 years.

Vine Street imports incredible w**es from all over the world, but to me, their offerings from Australia are the jewel in their crown. With an even approach to styles and terroirs, from New Wave to stalwart classics, I’m consistently blown away by the quality and value their selections bring. Truly, I consider Australia to be one of the most exciting places in the world for w**e right now.

On Wednesday, we’ll be celebrating those w**es. Come enjoy by the glass, flights, and bottles from the front line of Australia’s best w**eries - at w**e bar prices.

Of course, we’ll also be offering food from Chef Thomas Melvin and our talented culinary team.

This event is meant to be low obligation and easy to access. Walk into our bar side between 5pm and 9pm, grab a glass or a flight and some food from our a la carte menu, and enjoy meeting and raising a glass with Ronnie - I know I will.

We’ll look forward to seeing you then, and keep an eye out for more announcements around exciting w**e dinners and events.

Pop In @ Vida this Wednesday, the 15th!

This time we’re welcoming guest sommelier Steve Morgan of The Sorting Table. Although he now works as an importer, Steve has worked as a sommelier at some of the most legendary restaurants in New York and Chicago, including Tribeca Grill, Del Posto, and Alinea.

This Pop In will celebrate the w**es he has brought to our list at Vida. We’ll be pouring Domaine Dujac, Alex Moreau, Castello di Ama, Snowden, and several others by the glass. At half price.

Hiramasa frequently appears in the early part of the tasting menu experience at Vida. Part of the Amberjack family, we love it for its firm texture that holds its shape and clean finish - making it ideal for lightly curing and serving as fresh as possible.

Recently we’ve been serving Haku Hiramasa (Haku is the Māori name for Hiramasa) from Ruakākā, New Zealand, a small town on the North Island. New Zealand has long been at the cutting edge of sustainable and environmentally friendly Hiramasa sourcing, and we’re excited to share this incredible fish with our guests here in Indianapolis.

If you've dined with us over the past few years, you have probably interacted with Amira Vanest in some form, whether while booking a reservation, planning the final details of a special occasion, or simply walking in and being greeted by her. Today, we're so excited to share that she has stepped into the role of Assistant Manager and Director of Guest Relations at Vida.

She first started working with us as a Host shortly after graduating from Herron High School and remained a part of the team part-time throughout her years at Purdue University. After graduating in an impressive three years, she rejoined the team full-time as Lead Host and, in no time, made a significant impact on every aspect of our operations through her natural leadership, proactive work ethic, attention to detail, and special ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

This promotion is the natural next step for her, and we can't wait to see the even greater impact she will make in her new role.
