📜 If Walls Could Talk…

When we worked hard to restore this building and bring it up to code, we didn't just see bricks and mortar. We saw history.

This beautiful building has been standing right here since 1887 (hence our name!)

If you know us, or if you’ve looked around the restaurant, you already know how much we love history, culture, travel, and antiques. But our absolute favorite part of this journey is hearing the stories that live within these walls.

Today, we had a truly special honor. We got to meet Larry Sopczynski, affectionately named by us as Larry “the Legend”, who came in to enjoy a meal with his friends!

Larry’s uncle, Pete Kuss, actually used to own this very building back when it was a local grocery store. It was an absolute pleasure sitting down with a relative of a former owner and listening to stories about what it was like to visit this building as a little kid.

Imagine what this building has seen since 1887!
