The Capri Ristorante is owned and operated by an Italian chef who came to the United States after working for ten years in the hospitality industry aboard a cruise ship. After settling in Indianapolis at the age of twenty-eight he worked in an Italian restaurant on Michigan Road. Soon with help of a partner he opened a restaurant. Arturo’s at 86th and Keystone was an immediate success. He then ope

ned Amalfi’s on the northwest side of Indianapolis and brought his mother over from Italy to work in the kitchen. Soon the small restaurant became too small and with lines at the door and out in to the parking lot his thoughts turned to a bit larger space. The Capri Restaurant established in 1951 then owned two brothers became available and he wasted no time in buying it. Closed for many weeks while under going renovations he could wait no longer to reopen the Capri Ristorante. Capri Italian Restaurant Recipe Book
The restaurant was not completed to his liking. He soon began what is now a never ending process of remodeling or completing what he had in mind originally: An Italian Restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere located conveniently on the North side of Indianapolis serving traditional Italian fare at reasonable prices. Our Recipe Book is now available! We’ve combined dozens of recipes, tips and beautiful images into a book that you can enjoy in your kitchen! We’re also posting a new recipe from the book each month here for you to try and enjoy. Be sure to join our mailing list to receive a new recipe each month in your mailbox, along with special offers and current events happening at our restaurant! The Capri Ristorante in Granger will serve dinner daily from 3 until close. We offer carry-out, catering and our facility is available to host your banquet or special event. We also have gift certificates available.
