CHR Steak delivers an unparalleled dining experience, combining the finest dry-aged prime beef with exceptional service in an elegant atmosphere on the historic downtown Gainesville Square. CHR Steak is a dry-aged steakhouse in downtown Gainesville, Georgia, a few steps from the historic square. We serve USDA Prime steaks, dry-aged in house, cut by hand and seared on an infrared broiler, along with a raw bar, American Wagyu and wild game. Our private dining room, the Executive Suite, seats up to 28 guests behind a door of their own, for holiday and company parties, rehearsal dinners and business dinners, with a dedicated event coordinator and two servers on the room. Dinner is served Tuesday through Sunday from 5:00 to 10:00 PM, with happy hour from 4:30 to 6:00 PM.

Fifty-pound tomahawk subprimals hang from steel hooks in front of a wall of Himalayan salt at Chr Steak, and some stay there four months before they hit heat. Chef-owner Jeremy Green brought in The Aging Room to build it, salt-backed walls and all. The restaurant overlooks Gainesville's historic Downtown square.👇

An Evening with Will Turpin & Brian Collins

CHR Steak’s Songwriter Series welcomes Will Turpin and Brian Collins for an intimate co-headlining evening, hosted by Francisco Vidal.

Will Turpin, founding member and bassist of Collective Soul, brings more than three decades of recording and touring experience. Georgia singer-songwriter Brian Collins blends country, soul, and Americana, with songs including “Shine A Little Love” and “Never Really Left.”

The two also share a creative home as co-owners of Georgia’s Real 2 Reel Studios. Join us for a special evening celebrating their music in the intimate setting of CHR Steak in downtown Gainesville.

The last First Friday of the season lands tomorrow night on the downtown square, and R&B Inc. is closing it out with Atlanta soul and funk. The preshow starts at 4:00 in the middle of the square and the main stage runs from 7:00 to 10:00.

We are pouring only this time. Come find us out there, get a drink in your hand, and hold your spot for the band. No glass and no outside alcohol are allowed on the square, so let us take care of that part.

The square sits at 112 Main Street SW. Parking is free in the Main Street deck at 301 Main Street, the Gainesville North deck at 100 Brenau Avenue, and the Hall County facility at 225 Green Street.
