We're opening up for a little Sunday dinner service 😋🍽 I got some delicious Sea Bass in today and whipped up a batch of spaghetti 🍝

Heyyy ya'll 😎👋🏾

As you all probably already know, we've been hit with our first hurricane of the season. Our local community has been blessed to not have received the direct impact of Hurricane Isaias, but unfortunately our neighbors did experience it 🥺

In the Northwest region, families are beginning to assess the life altering damages and in some cases, total loss of everything they've worked their entire lives for. There are currently 450,000 residents with power and basic necessities with that number rising daily...

You know, with so many things in today's time that keeps us at odds, divided and even pinned against each other; sometimes it's adversity, trouble & crisises that highlight/refocus us on what really matters, which is each other...

I just truly believe in my heart that this is OUR state..and those OUR neighbors and OUR kids that need our assistance. So we'll be deploying to the Northwest to support our families with fresh meals and supplies 🥹❗️❗️

We'll be at Grassroots Provision + Relief Kitchen this week working on logistics and preparation.

🥹🥹 so many blessings are heading to East Gainesville 🙏🏾. I shared with Mrs. Pam & Mayor Ward about my mother's doubts and reaction about seeing true change when I first told her about the development plans in that area.

It's absolutely no doubt now that she's about to see how much we all love and support East Gainesville...and it's going to be in her lifetime 🥹❤️

I'm so thankful that we have an opportunity to be a part of this restoration of housing and most importantly the reestablishment of HOPE 🙌🏾

Oh, and word on the street is that East Gainesville will have a state of the art youth culinary center and restaurant 🫣 Get them kids ready 😂😌

We've been cooking and thinking(😂) overtime this week already, so we'll take a few days to spend with family and do a quick recharge 🔋😌

Our catering will take up all Friday evening, so we'll be reopen on Saturday(10/10) for UF homecoming Game

Our previous season of farming was one for the books!! I thank God for getting us through it with more than enough produce for all of our initiatives 🙏🏾👨🏾‍🌾

So ya'll know I keep us with a ton of different projects going on 😂😭, so it wasn't enough time in the day for me to tell everyone about all of the cool varieties of vegetables that we grew last season 🌱😎

It was an absolute journey that we'll never forget...from battling snails trying to munch on our plants to leaving the chicken coops open & having them everywhere on the property until I found a way to herd all of the chicken back in 😅

Oh, and let's not forget about having to harvest from hundreds of cornstalks in a thunderstorm because the raccoons were shucking ears, taking one bite, throwing them down and going to the next ear....Or getting stung by wasps 2 days in a row; Yeah, it's been an unforgettable experience with stories that you simply can't make it 😂...BUT WE MADE IT 🍾

We're officially all planted for this Fall season and I can only imagine what this '26-27' season of growing has in store for us. But I'm guaranteeing that it'll delicious ya'll 😋👌🏾

And on a sidenote - It's looking like a very very busy holiday season this last quarter of the year, full of community engagements and outreach 🥹 We're just waiting for our health inspection and Grassroots Provision + Relief Kitchen will be at everyone's disposal 🙌🏾🙃

They'll be many partnership opportunities, youth cooking engagements, paid intern positions opening and outreach initiatives coming. ⚠️ So please follow Grassroots Provision + Relief Kitchen ⚠️ so that way you're always up to date❗️❗️
