We’ve been feeding a lot of musicians and music lovers lately, and I wanted to share how much that means to us. Music is woven into the everyday life of this community, and getting to play a part in that tradition by feeding fans, artists, and staff here at Odette in Florence as well as at the Orion Amphitheater in Huntsville, the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater in Tuscaloosa, and at ShoalsFest right down the street at McFarland Park, is a huge honor. Food and music have a way of bringing people together, and we’re so grateful to be right here in the middle of it.
To everyone who joined us at Odette or stopped by for a bite at ShoalsFest last weekend: THANK YOU! Whether you made us part of your evening out or your re-fueling stop between sets, we loved feeding you.
Weekends like these always make me want to shout from the rooftops about how thankful I am for our team. Feeding folks in all these places takes a lot of planning, hauling, cooking, and taking care of each other, and this crew puts so much heart into everything we do. I’m proud of the food we serve, but I’m even prouder of the people who make it happen. It’s a privilege to work alongside them.
Now, as festival season leads into holiday season, we have some delicious things planned, Here is a sneak peak of some of what is coming up:
We’ll toast to the season on November 9 at 6pm with our À Votre Santé W**e Dinner, featuring French w**e pairings from Todd Edmondson and our take on some holiday favorites. Please join us to raise a glass and enjoy a five-course dinner. Maybe you’ll find a little inspiration for your own holiday table. Seats are limited and can be reserved now through Resy.
Our Thanksgiving and Christmas pre-order takeout menus will return this year, with pickup in both Florence and Huntsville. For every holiday package sold, we donate meals for five people, so your celebration helps feed others across North Alabama. Being included in your holiday traditions and helping you spend a little less time in the kitchen and a little more time with your people, is one of my personal favorite parts of the season.
In December, we’ll be back at the Orion Amphitheater for Backstage Dinners on December 5 and 12, and Backstage Jazz Brunch on December 6. We’ll share menus and reservation details soon, so keep an eye out.
As we head into the holidays, I’m grateful for the generosity and spirit that flow strong through this community like the Tennessee River that connects us. Thank you for showing up for us and for one another. Wherever we happen to set the table, it’s a pleasure to feed you.
