And just like that, he's off to camp!
For the next four days, Justin will be attending Oregon Pinot Camp in the Willamette Valley, where he will study about and taste a diverse range of wines,, learn about the dynamic terroir and evolving styles of this region, and meet all manner of winemakers, fellow sommeliers, and folks from all walks of the industry.

We at Vino e Vivo take blind tasting seriously, and to new extremes! Unfortunately, it looks like Justin will have to re-test after ten years as a sommelier. In his defense, he says it's hard to guess a wine when you're licking it off of your shirt.

We are beyond happy to share that our own FoH Manager, Amaya, has recently passed her Introductory Sommelier Course and Exam, and is one step closer to becoming a Certified Sommelier! You may have had the experience of Amaya's excellent service and growing wine knowledge at our Chef's Table recently, or seen her assisting Tony and Justin with our Wine Club and Wine Dinners, learning as much as she can about the wonderful, perpetually evolving world of hospitality. We at Vino e Vivo love supporting professionals at any level with their development and education, and having Amaya as a valuable member of our team is no exception. Look out for more updates as she begins preparing to become a fully Certified Sommelier, and congratulate her on this great professional achievement!
