If you're looking for something to do after tacos and margaritas, come on down to the WOW Hall at 7pm Saturday to the viewing of the director's cut of "pickAxe", a longer version of the documentary of Cascadia Free State's successful stoppage of old growth salvage logging at Warner Creek in the Willamette National Forest 30 years ago. The Whiteaker neighborhood played a prominent role in elevating the conversation of what environmental action could look like when normal channels failed during that time. We are proud to promote people and organizations that continue to fight for our public lands and our planet's health for us and future generations to come. Hope to see some of you there!

We’re in the final days of fundraising for professionally built mountain bike trails off the Ridgeline in the Suzanne Arlie Park behind LCC. I get it- most of you don’t and will not ride a bike in the woods ever. But your kids might. Or your future kids might. They’ll put down their phones to go have fun in nature. They’ll get outdoors. You’ll be proud to live in a place that values outdoor recreation. It’s a beautiful park. I started riding bikes in the woods at 18 years old. Because of the hobby I became more in tune with nature and an environmentalist. It’s a tax write off. It’s really a no-brainer. And someone in the community is matching your donations. If not for you, for future generations. Just do it.

Bridgette’s “last” day. 9 years at Tacovore! She said wanted to leave a legacy so we remodeled the bathrooms together in her honor. Come say goodbye to the Queen B!
