You asked for it. We brought it back. 🍑🔥

Our Peach Jalapeño Pizza was such a hit last year, we knew it deserved another round.

Sweet, juicy peaches meet fresh mozzarella, jalapeño, salty Manchego, parsley, and rosemary on our hand-stretched crust brushed with extra virgin olive oil.

It's sweet, savory, fresh, and just a little spicy—and only here for a limited time.

Our recommendation? Add prosciutto. The salty, savory bite with those sweet peaches is hard to beat.

We're honored to see Hugo's included among these Des Moines gems! 🔥

Thank you to Explore Iowa for including us—and for highlighting so many of the locally owned restaurants that make the Des Moines food scene such a special one.

We're especially grateful for the guests and regulars who continue to find us, support us, bring their friends, and make Hugo's part of their rotation.

If you haven't discovered some of the other restaurants on this list yet, there's plenty of good eating ahead.

Des Moines, Iowa has restaurants that do not need hype because the regulars already know. Steaming pho, giant tenderloins, smash burgers, pasta, tacos, wood-fired pizza, and familiar faces make these local favorites feel quietly unbeatable.
