Peas and carrots for dessert, you say? Yep, sure do! This is one of our newer desserts from Chef Eric and team. It's a play on a carrot cake that begins with a sweet pea chiffon cake plated with carrot marmalade, gluten-free chocolate streusel, and roasted vanilla bean cream mousse. We garnish this with fresh pea shoots and flowers. We hope you love it!

Chef Eric and team have added a new sweet option to the Rioja brunch menu and you have *got* to try them! Meet our bao-nuts, a yeast-raised doughnut that we steam similarly to how we made bao for our Lunar New Year menu earlier this year. This version's a lemon bao-nut filled with lemon mascarpone cream served over a bed of blueberry compote and garnished with oatmeal streusel and lemon confit. We are so excited for you to try these! 💛

This is our spring risotto with English peas, crispy morels, preserved lemon, and smoked Ruby Red trout. Chef Jen and Chef Gabe made a bite-sized version of this event for CineCHEF in Boulder last month. We definitely recommend visiting Rioja soon to experience the full dish! 💛
