Sometimes a garden grows more than vegetables. 💜🌱

At my Summer-to-Fall Garden Workshop back in August, I discovered that one of my attendees was actually my cousin!

We connected, started talking about gardens, and I learned that she had recently moved into a beautiful new home with an absolutely gorgeous backyard. Before long, she offered to open her garden and host our next Late Bloomer workshop.

And just like that… Garlic, Greens & Garden Goodbyes was born!

On October 17th, we’re taking The Late Bloomer OUTSIDE for a special backyard edition. We’ll talk about extending your harvest, preparing your garden for winter, caring for your soil, protecting perennial herbs, planting garlic for next summer and setting yourself up for a beautiful spring.

🧄 PLUS: We’ll get our hands dirty with a little garlic planting—and enjoy a Garden Mocktail & Juicing Bar featuring fresh, garden-inspired flavors.

I’m hoping Colorado gives us one of those glorious Indian-summer days when the air is crisp, the sun is warm and nobody is quite ready to go inside yet.

Space is limited for this one, so register soon!

Black Maternal Health Week (April 11–17, 2026) highlights the urgent reality that Black women across the United States face significantly higher maternal health risks.

Community organizations and healthcare advocates are actively working to address these disparities through education, advocacy, and improved access to care—but sustained support is critical.

When we invest in these efforts, we help create healthier families and stronger, more resilient communities.
