Come with us to the Kachina kitchen as we join one of our prep cooks, Lucy, as she prepares our handmade hallacas for Mother’s Day brunch this Sunday!

Making hallacas is a part of Lucy’s family celebrations stemming from her Venezuelan roots, and every step of the tamale is tradition. As she creates, she shares with us that back in Venezuela, each family member makes one part of the hallaca, coming together to make a total 500 each Christmas to share with family and neighbors.

We’re excited to bring this tradition to your plate this Mother’s Day during our specialty brunch from 11am - 3pm, with dishes like these hallacas, shakshuka chilaquiles, and matcha cream conchas locally sourced from a Denver small business, .grill.
