T.E.A. The Evolution Archive brings together artists of all mediums across generations for discussion and an communal herbal tea experience. Join us for Deep Brew, Humanitea Conversations on Saturday, April 11, from 1–4 PM at

This is a gathering of artists of all mediums across generations for a shared reflection on the question:

What do we carry forward, and what must we leave behind as we imagine the future?

Discussion Moderated by Martinique Mims and Dr. Isaiah Hunt accompanied by a herbal blending workshop guided by Steeped Pearl's KaShala Smith.

Rooted in a Sankofa approach and inspired by Afrofuturist thought, the experience will center conversation, art submission, and a communal tea experience. We are extending an invitation to local artists whose work and presence have helped shape the cultural and artistic landscape of Cleveland.

This gathering is also part of a larger evolving project, TEA: The Evolution Archive, which we are developing into a potential exhibition later this year. Whatever you archived from the conversation, if you’d like during the event you can make it into a custom tea blend and portray it in curated photos to make a custom tea blend.

Your voice, perspective, and legacy would add something deeply meaningful to this space.

Two Black girls from North East Ohio with big dreams, having tea parties miles apart from one another.

Two girls that would meet in college, spend all their meal plan money on tea, and dream of a company that would come to be.

One girl with with a heart too big that was always told she was a little too much. Another that loves her just as is, and is screaming Happy Birthday from Columbus to Cleveland!

I create space for more dreaming✨

Collaborating with this very special group to bring T.E.A. Evolution Archive was amazing. We learned a lot fast while having light hearted fun.

I left this project feeling proud of the artist I am and inspired to make more art.
