It’s my birthday today, and I’m spending it at the shop. A year ago, I never would have imagined being able to say that—and meaning it when I say I’m happy to be here. 💗

Last year, Code Brew was still an idea I was trying to decide whether I was brave enough to pursue. Now my family and I get to open the doors every morning, make drinks and food we’re proud of, and welcome people who have become such a meaningful part of our days.

This little shop has grown beyond anything I pictured when we started. We’ve added bowls, waffles, and so many drinks born from ideas I couldn’t stop thinking about. We were even voted Best Coffee Shop in Itasca County—something I still can’t quite believe.

The best part has been seeing people find us, come back, bring their friends, and tell us they love being here. You’ve helped make Code Brew a place that brings joy to other people, and running it has brought so much joy into my life too.

I’m grateful for this year, for my family, friends both old and new, and for everyone who has given this little dream a chance. I can’t wait to see what the next year brings. ☕💗

Happy Thursday Friends! When everything feels heavy sometimes it’s important to remember to have some fun so play along 🩷

Upload a picture of yourself to ChatGPT and use this prompt:

Give my personality a mascot using what you know about me and the uploaded photo for my appearance. Invent a funny cartoon mascot that represents my personality. Feature a glamorous cartoon version of me posing beside the mascot as if we are an iconic duo. The mascot can be an animal, creature, object, or completely imaginary character. Give it one or two accessories or details that connect it to me. Add its name and one short tagline explaining its energy. Keep everything else minimal. White background, clean composition, polished colorful cartoon artwork. Do not ask me what the mascot should be. You decide.

Then COME BACK AND DROP YOUR RESULTS IN THE COMMENTS. 👇😂

Along with launching our new bowl menu we added a create your own bowl section. So you can choose what you want. Here are two examples

Passionfruit, dragon fruit, açaí base with granola, kiwi, strawberries, pineapple, and honey drizzle.

Açaí base with granola, banana, strawberries, and honey drizzle.

Being on a health journey for almost two years now I’m probably the biggest advocate for our açaí and protein bowls. I love to mix up different combinations and at any given time there are at least five in my home freezer. Yep, they freeze and unthaw well also.

I do love our waffles too and if you’ve had one you know it’s enough to feed two people! New waffle menu coming soon with a completely new concept and an old favorite returning 🎉
