You've met Sam and Caitlyn β€” now meet Taylor! All members of Shiloh Communities' Our Voice Panel.

Hi, I'm Taylor! I'm connected to Shiloh Communities through our friends Ashley and Brandon.

I graduated from Lexington High School, where I was the first special needs person to try out and make the JV basketball team.

My favorite things to do are Bible study and helping my mom with anything she needs. I also love fashion!

Why this cause matters to me: "There is nothing down about me except a diagnosis."

A fun fact about me: I love to be silly and laugh!

Taylor is a true example of Christ in her love for others and her love for Jesus. We are so grateful to have her as part of our Shiloh family. ❀️

Would you take thirty seconds and share this post? πŸ’›
We're getting ready for our evening for moms raising a child with a disability, and we want every mom in our community to know she's invited β€” but we can't reach her without you.
If you know a mom who needs a night like this β€” tired, pouring out, rarely poured into β€” tag her, share this, send her a text. Sometimes just knowing she's invited is the hardest part, and hearing it from a friend means more than any post we could put out ourselves.
The evening is $20 and packed full of encouragement, laughter, and fellowship. Tickets can be purchased on our Givebutter page. But if that's not in the budget right now, please don't let it hold you back β€” reach out and let us know, we'll make it work.
We're also looking for a few small sponsors to help make this night possible β€” if that's something you or your business would like to be part of, we'd love to talk.
Thank you for helping us get this in front of the moms who need it most.

You met Caitlynn, now meet Sam!
🌟 **Meet Our Voice Panel: John "Sam"uel Scott!** 🌟

We're so excited to introduce you to Sam, one of the newest voices on our Our Voice Panel!

Sam's connection to Shiloh began at Bitty & Beau's, where he met some wonderful coworkers β€” along with Brandon and Ashley Abbott. Born and raised in Columbia, Sam is a proud graduate of Cardinal Newman High School. When he's not diving into a good book or planning his next travel adventure, you can find him watching the skies β€” Sam is an airplane enthusiast through and through and can spot and classify commercial aircraft in nanoseconds! βœˆοΈπŸ“š

Sam is especially close with his older brother Chris, spending time together and lending a hand around the house whenever he can.

His favorite quote says it all:
*"With God on my side, I fear no evil. Do or do not β€” there is no try!"* πŸ’ͺπŸ™

We're so grateful Sam is sharing his voice and story with our community. Welcome, Sam! πŸŽ‰

To every mom raising a child with a disability β€”

You are invited. Not as a guest to entertain, but as a woman we want to pour into, celebrate, and sit alongside for an evening.

We know the weight you carry every single day β€” the appointments, the advocacy, the sleepless nights, the moments no one else quite understands. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28, WEB). This night is our small way of helping you do just that β€” rest, be seen, and be filled up.

Here's what the evening holds:

We'll gather for a warm supper catered by Xpress Events & Catering LLC, followed by songs to lift our hearts, honest testimonies from moms who walk this same road, and a keynote message meant to encourage and strengthen you. We'll close the night together over dessert and fellowship β€” because some of the best ministry happens over coffee and cake with people who get it.

We're so grateful to Broad Acres Baptist Church for opening their doors and generously hosting us for this special night.

If you're a mom of a child with a disability, this seat is for you. Come as you are β€” tired, hopeful, weary, joyful, all of it. We'll be glad to have you. If ticket cost is a burden please email me at [email protected] for seat just for you.

🌿 MEET OUR THIRD SPEAKER β€” MARCEY ZIMMERMAN! 🌿

We are so excited to welcome Marcey Zimmerman as one of our speakers for Refreshed & Renewed β€” The Moms Conference!

Marcey Zimmerman is a devoted wife, mother of five, and grandmother of three. Originally from Alabama, she moved to South Carolina 20 years ago after marrying her husband. For more than a decade, Marcey has built a successful career as a licensed real estate agent. Her deepest passion, however, is rooted in her journey as a mother. Marcey was a dedicated caregiver to her daughter, Sophie, who lived with a rare form of epilepsy before passing away at the age of 12. Drawing from her profound personal experiences with love, loss, and navigating the complexities of caregiving, Marcey brings a deeply empathetic and resilient perspective to the special needs community.

This evening was created especially for moms raising a child with a disability β€” a time to come together, lay down some of the heaviness we carry, worship, share a meal, hear powerful testimonies, and simply be refreshed. 🀍

Moms, this night is for YOU.

An update on An Evening on Charitable Giving

We have to share some disappointing news: due to a staffing change on Charles Schwab's side, we are cancelling An Evening on Charitable Giving, originally planned for September 15th. This was out of our control and not a reflection of anything on our end.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of Shiloh Communities.
