Yesterday we celebrated Tony’s 10 years of sobriety. His friends and loved ones travelled from all over the country to surprise him for this huge milestone. Tony has been killing it as our event director for the last two years - taking over his role for this one took the WHOLE TEAM! He’s made a tremendous impact on our crew, through sharing his sobriety journey and by being a true advocate for mental health. He reminds us daily that it’s important to work hard but even more important to take breaks and care of ourselves so that we can show up to our best potential. Tony is a vision of positivity (even on his hardest days) and is unabashed in sharing his truth.
He’s led countless sobriety meetings in various groups around the city and across the country. This year, he started a sobriety group called The Check-In; a non-profit sober community rooted in honesty, connection, and accountability. Meetings are held virtually at 10pm est, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays (Letuscheckin.com). It’s a judgement-free zone, designed for everyone and anyone who’s ready to show up- whatever that may look like for them.
