It’s taking us back to 2021 when we did a little commercial for Sunday Night Football getting ready for the big playoff game against the Steelers! We might not have Baker Mayfield here anymore, but we still have plenty of amazing bakers!! Grab a tasty treat for the big game!

OTR In The Wild!

We had the chance to step out of the bakery and attend the Ohio Valley Grain Exchange Gathering this past weekend.

We started the day with some experimenting using Einkorn flour and working on hydrations.

We were very excited to get our hands on some rouge de Bordeaux flour which we will be starting to use in some of our breads!

This will be the grain we will be using in our multigrain starting in about 1-2 weeks and we will be using for about the next 7 months.

Clearly when given the chance we had to play around with some pizza dough and shaping.

We got the amazing opportunity to meet an inspirational baker Don (Don Guerra) from Barrio Bread!

We rounded out the day playing with some high percentage rye dough with all Ohio rye.

We also got the chance to meet Ryan Morgan from El Camino Baking Company who spoke in depth about maintaining a local rye sourdough starter. It was amazing to hear someone so passionate about supporting his local farmers.

We were excited to sample some bread from Sixteen Bricks who use ohio grain and were developed with the goal of making more nutritious bread available to a much larger demographic of people. We loved the idea of supporting both the community and helping the farmers get more of their grain into more people’s mouths.
