Today marks one of those moments for Friistyle.
As we prepare to transition from our Bronzeville home, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve shared with this community. What began as a vision to create a place where great food and great people could come together became something far more meaningful.
To every guest who chose us for lunch, dinner, or a special celebration…thank you.
To our staff, local vendors, community organizations, artists, entrepreneurs, and partners who believed in our vision and helped us build something special…thank you.
You didn’t simply support a restaurant—you helped build a community.
Bronzeville will always be woven into the story of Friistyle. This neighborhood embraced us, challenged us to grow, and reminded us every day why hospitality is about so much more than what’s on the plate. It’s about creating spaces where people feel seen, welcomed, and connected.
As we close this chapter in Bronzeville, we do so with tremendous gratitude, and even greater excitement for what’s ahead.
We’re taking this opportunity to reimagine what’s next for Friistyle. Our vision has grown, our ambitions have expanded, and we’re creating the next version of Friistyle with the same heart you’ve always known only with an even greater capacity to serve, inspire, and bring communities together across Chicago.
This is not goodbye. It’s a purposeful pause as we prepare for our next chapter.
