Today, we put the Water back into the Waterfront Cafe!!! Woohoo, the pipes survived another winter. 😅 It’s time to start spring cleaning 🧹 for a mid-May opening!

GREAT NEWS! Our lease with the Chicago Park District has been renewed for 2026 and beyond! Woohoo! 🎉 Although we’ll miss the 60° weather this weekend ☀️, opening day is closer than you think… Stay tuned!

MEET THE TEAM: Say hi to Halima! 🌸 A pre-med neuroscience major at Loyola, she’s spending her first summer with us at Waterfront and couldn’t be more grateful. Her go-to dish? Blackened Cajun Shrimp Roll 🦐 — fresh and full of flavor!

MEET THE TEAM | Liam (they/them)
✨ Known for their fabulous pink hair and even more fabulous personality, Liam has been part of the Waterfront family for 4 summers. When they’re not serving queso with a smile, they’re a theatre director, event organizer and all around creator. 🎭.

🎶 Loves: new wave + goth culture, drag shows, and D&D nights.

✨ Favorite part of the Waterfront? “The reflection of the moon on the water as it rises above the lake during the final hours of service.” 🌙
