The post about the “chicken diner” many of you have been waiting for 🥁…
Big upgrades are in the works🤎☕️
(I will transition this page slowly to avoid confusion as we navigate through this great change!)
Word sure does spread fast in our little town but I’m glad it’s that way- My family has closed on the building so it’s finally safe to announce that a coffee shop and an artisanal locally produced gift store will be coming to Chestertown soon!
Everyone has their own opinions and ideas about what should become of the building which is great! We could never satisfy the wants of each and every person but our hope is to provide a family friendly gathering place for our community and beyond to come and enjoy a hand crafted drink, snack on some house made baked goods and more, and meander around the shop to find locally made items for all occasions.
Items at the coffee shop will be available for to-go if you have places to be, and there will also be both indoor and outdoor seating if you’d like to hang out for a while. (Eatery style, no wait staff and self seating)
I plan on offering items that I have previously sold in my farmstand on White Schoolhouse Road, locally grown produce, espresso drinks, house made craft syrups and flavorings, teas, drip coffee, assorted juices and seltzers etc., a daily selection of baked goods, as well as ready to eat breakfast sandwiches, salads and such, and more to be determined. (All variable at this time as I work on a menu! Open to any and all comments)
The store side will offer a wide variety of items such as hand crafted pottery, soaps, knitted items, decor, unique gifts and more!
And YES the big chicken 🐓 is there to stay- he just needs a makeover and will for sure be getting one😂
We hope to be open in June! (As long as all goes well with the town and county boards etc.)
