The St. Nicholas Brewing Company Cycling Team is hitting the road on Sunday, June 28th, departing from St Nicholas Brewing Company MDH in Carbondale at 9 AM for a self-supported ride along the Trans American Bike Route to come visit us at St. Nick's Landmark in Chester!!
This is a bit of a tradition - scenic miles, good company, and a well-earned St. Nick pint waiting at the finish line.
A few things to know before you clip in: this ride is self-supported so bring plenty of supplies, and make arrangements for a ride home from Chester (or to Murphysboro). Full route details are coming soon. Stay tuned to St. Nicholas Cyclings page!!

It was not just one magazine cover. Chester, Illinois made Official UFO Magazine twice. The April 1978 issue came back with what they called actual photo proof, a Wall Street Journal follow-up, and a criminal investigator who flew in from New York to see the evidence for himself. Fifty years later, Chester still has not gotten a straight answer about the night of August 2, 1977.

We think it is time to change that.

Join us at St. Nicholas Landmark on July 31, 2027 for The Chester Incident: a 50th Anniversary Celebration. Live music, vendors, food and drinks, and a panel discussion on the night this town made national headlines twice and still nobody talks about it.

The Mango Bourbon Smash just walked in and shes the most confident drink in the room...
Legent Whiskey, mango syrup, lemon juice, and a splash of club soda to keep things light. Sweet, citrusy, a little tropical, and still very much a bourbon drink for the "bourbon people".
It's basically a summer vacation in a glass. Except you don't have to pack anything or deal with airport security.

This one's been a long time coming.
Friday, July 10th we're celebrating two things that belong together. The kickoff celebration of the Don Welge Memorial Bridge and another year of St. Nicholas Landmark being Chester's gathering place!!

We watched this new bridge rise from our upstairs windows. We saw the cranes, the cables, the slow and steady work of something big taking shape over the Mississippi. And now it's (almost) open, connecting Chester and Perryville the way Don Welge himself always believed it should!!

Come celebrate with us. Good food, St. Nick craft beer, summer cocktails, and a front-row view of the most beautiful new bridge on the Mississippi River.
Bridge Opening + Anniversary Celebration
Awen Family Band, a nationally touring world boogie collective from central North Carolina, formed in 2019, has featured members of Toubab Krewe, Big Something, Charlie Hunter, FRUTE, Firewater Tent Revival and many other acts - will be playing 6pm-9pm!
