We had the pleasure of tackling not only one, but TWO fabulous gluten free weddings on our re-opening weekend. If you want to check out that cake, it’s a couple posts back on our page! Shoutout to the second happy couple, Lindsey and Dan! It is always a true honor to be a part of anyone’s special day, and we love to make people with food restrictions and allergies feel safe and secure. Memories are being made here, HELLO! This time we got to collaborate with Jill Wiener on this stunning vanilla cake filled with strawberry rhubarb jam and frosted in Swiss meringue buttercream. We’re Gluten Free and nothing can stop us! Your favorite Gluten Free Bakery is ready and reporting for duty 🫡 🫡🫡

County Road Bakery has officially moved into our new store at 16 Upper Main St in Callicoon. And despite the warm reception and double line around the store this past weekend there has been some unfortunate drama…first of all who’s taking our flyers off the Pecks cork board? And secondly and perhaps more important: WHERE is our DISPLAY FRIDGE and WHY is it in Utah?!

The whole family got together to make this happen. Because not only did we move and re-open the store, but we ALSO did two weddings this weekend, two days apart, AND prepped and baked for our most sold out cookie club YET. Whew! 😅 😅

And if you want to get a cookie club subscription box at 15% off for the next 3 months then you need to order BEFORE 10 am on Tuesday October 13th. A love note from Karen: Just over two years ago, County Road Bakery moved into the wonderful Callicoon Marketplace, where Rachel has incubated many incredible local businesses. Jen Channery Hill let us know space was available; we moved in instantly (out of unpredictable weather, and into a brick and mortar), though we still cherish our Farmers Market origins! We are so grateful for the many conversations, friendships, and new recipes that we developed there and will always treasure our time The Callicoon Marketplace.
This weekend we move into The Callicoon Pantry, you know, the old firehouse/brewery/distillery, turned into your sustainable neighborhood grocery store. Again, we find ourselves entering autumn and opening new doors. Come find us there tomorrow and all weekend as we celebrate our soft opening with free cake for everyone. Can’t wait to see y’all at our new location The Callicoon Pantry | Grocery & Refillery, 16 Upper Main St., this weekend and at Artwalk!
