We can’t wait for Saturday ! The Old First Ward Arts & Heritage Festival is happening from 2-9pm. The OFW Community Center will be selling Undergrounds Coffee and a few of our own will be participating in the fest. Catch Joe with their band adelaide at 2:45pm, Madison will be there with her newly launched her permanent jewelry business and Mads Jewelry, and Sophia will@be behind the camera helping out with social media.

There are so many free art workshops throughout the day, live music, food and drinks for sale to support the community center and a puppet parade at 7:30pm that we are pretty excited about.

A little about Johnny Appleseed…. John Chapman was an American Pioneer nurseryman who introduced apple trees to large parts of the Northeast. He became an American legend while he was still alive, due to his kind and generous ways, his leadership in conservation and the symbolic importance he attributed to apples. This month whilst Apple Picking is a fun fall activity enjoyed by the masses, we wanted to pay tribute to the man that in large part made it possible to do so!
