Residents of Broussard, I have positive news to share with you. We have received final confirmation that the much-anticipated Broussard Charter Academy is officially set to open in 2027. The school will be built on a property located on St. Nazaire Road and LaFlamme Road, near the Broussard Sports Complex at St. Julien Park. It will offer families a high-quality educational option at a state-of-the-art facility to educate our growing student population in Broussard. The school will serve approximately 900 students once fully enrolled, from kindergarten through eighth grade. It will not have an enrollment restriction by school district and can accept students from across the region or state. I want to thank Charter Schools USA, Lafayette Charter Foundation, and the Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education for making the school a reality.
