Kenya - Carson Estate
Single-estate traceability and natural-processing are both uncommon in Kenya, so when we were offered just 90kg of this super clean SL-28 + 34 lot from Carson Estate, we had to jump on it. Subtly earthy rooibos tea pairs perfectly with mouthwatering lemon curd and ripe raspberry, making for a sweet and complex sipper as we head into fall.

Finca Costa Rica - 2023 Vintage Lot

Boxcar’s Reserve Series highlights one-of-a-kind and exceptional coffees, from vintage lots preserved in our deep freezer to unique processing methods and rare varieties, expertly roasted to highlight their unique attributes. Our latest release takes us back in time to fall 2023, our first harvest season working with Finca Costa Rica in Santa Maria, Huila. As soon as this lot landed at our roastery, we froze just 30 pounds for a future re-release. Once this lot is gone, it’s gone for good.

This double-anaerobic washed field blend is a true fruit bomb; its syrupy mouthfeel and bright, mouthwatering acidity remind us of Starburst candies and fresh pink lady apple, while chocolate mousse brings another layer of sweetness to the finish.

This coffee has sold out online already, but both of our cafes have some in stock!
