For our February release, we’re excited to share another dynamic range of origins and cup profiles, from layered and complex to more vibrant fruit-forward selections.

To start, we’re thrilled to offer another SL34 lot from the Wadi Jannat region in Yemen. This lot was cultivated by a women’s collective in the area and has produced a cup defined by tropical fruit, intense sweetness, and striking complexity. This will be our final release from Yemen for the year.

Up next is our first Ecuadorian coffee of the season a washed Typica Mejorado from Finca Los Eucaliptos, managed by Felipe Luzon, a second-generation coffee grower. We selected this coffee for its cleanliness, balance, and sweetness. In the cup, we find notes of stone fruit, green grape, and honey.

Lastly, we’re releasing an anaerobic natural Red Bourbon from the Nova washing station in Rwanda. This coffee is intense, with jammy fruit character. In the cup, we taste Fruity Pebbles, mixed berries, and a pleasant, candy like sweetness.

Now available in our cafe and online. Enjoy!

The first coffee is a washed process Geisha from Andres Martinez. This coffee is extremely unique and delicious. In the cup we are tasting notes of lemongrass, butterscotch candy, and hops.

The second coffee is a beautiful washed process Chiroso from Danilo Florez. This coffee offers a strong lime like quality with undertones of tropical fruit.

Today we wanted to highlight this beautiful new Ecuadorian coffee From Finca Arashi. Finca Arashi is located in Saraguro, Loja, Ecuador, and is managed by Abel Salinas. This particular F1 Hybrid Natural lot is hand-selected at its ripest, dry-fermented for 48 hours, and placed to dry for 20-25 days. This coffee is abundantly sweet, juicy, and clean. In the cup we are tasting apricot, white grape juice, and jasmine. Stop by and try it today or order a bag on our website!

We wanted to highlight one of our favorite coffees at the moment, our washed Kenyan Gachatha peaberry. This coffee is very sweet with a balanced acidity that makes for a fun complex cup. We taste notes of root beer, citrus fruits, and maple syrup.

Kenyan coffees are some of our favorite, but it is hard to find the right one. If you want to try this coffee along with some of our other current offerings it is available in our newly released “roasters choice box” which also features an Ethiopian Dur Fures Natural and Colombian La Pradera washed Pink Bourbon.

Introducing our first Ethiopian coffee of the season: Aricha Idido Anaerobic Natural Lot.

Sourced from the Aricha Washing Station in Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, this exceptional coffee begins its journey with meticulous sorting, floating, and measuring to ensure only the ripest cherries (Brix degrees >23°) are used. The cherries dry on African beds for 48 hours before undergoing a 96-hour Anaerobic fermentation in barrels. Finally, they are laid to dry for 20-25 days, depending on the weather.

Expect an intensely fruit-forward, sweet profile with remarkable cleanliness. We couldn’t ask for a better coffee to launch the fresh arrivals from Ethiopia.
