As some of you know, the rapid cook oven we use for our food program has been fully out of commission for the past week and a half, so we’ve been operating on a less than ideal system. This means that we have been unable to make our beloved breakfast sandos, which we are super bummed about. We’ve been trying to resolve this issue with the manufacturer and our tech company, and it’s going to cost us thousands of dollars to fix. This is a difficult burden to bear as a small business.

Obviously this creates a lot of disappointment, and trust us, we’re disappointed too — and while we understand this is frustrating for our customers, keep in mind that our staff have not created this issue and are doing what they can to help, so please be kind to them as we try to get systems back to normal. Our burritos and toasts are delicious options that we can still offer. Sandos will be back, we promise 🫶

ATTN ✨ we have special Memorial Day hours for ! This May 1st, we celebrate the 4th birthday of January Coffee. It’s been a wild journey — at times, a tumultuous and bumpy ride (to say the least), but ultimately a story of resilience and love.

What started as two longtime coffee industry people who shared a passion for tasting yummy things and serving others, has evolved into something so much greater than ourselves. Our vision was to create a space where we could share this passion with people like us seeking a safe place to exist without judgement, to enjoy and be with others… more than just a place, but a refuge. A refuge for real human experiences when we can feel so disconnected sometimes.

Safety and stability are so very needed in times of great uncertainty, and we can feel the pendulum is swinging in the other direction... something about this year feels different for us. Despite all of the conflict, division, and corruption in the world, this community that surrounds us has given us something to celebrate and work hard for. It’s as important as ever to fight for each other and not lose hope when things feel so heavy and daunting… especially for those of us who feel marginalized or not seen sometimes. Seeing ourselves represented in others, whether it’s a person or a place is an intangibly valuable experience. For us, that feeling is personal.

January Coffee is for all of you, and we wouldn’t exist without any of you. Thank you to our family for investing in us, thank you to our vibrant team (past and present) for all of their contributions, to our local and industry communities for building us up and showing your love and continued support over the last four years, especially when things got rocky. Thank you for believing in our vision, and thank you for believing in us. We love you.
