I missed Tuesday. 😂
I had every intention of posting.
I even thought, “I need to do the Tuesday post.”
And apparently my brain heard, “Excellent. We’ve acknowledged it. Our work here is done.”
Then the restaurant took over.
The phone rang. Somebody needed something. Somebody else couldn’t find something that was directly in front of them. I walked into the kitchen, forgot why, saw a cheeseburger, remembered I was hungry, spotted the salmon, reconsidered the cheeseburger, walked back out—and forgot the Tuesday post all over again.
By the time I remembered, Tuesday was already halfway down the dock, avoiding eye contact and pretending it didn’t know me.
And apparently I skipped taking photos too—so today’s beautiful salmon picture comes courtesy of one of our customers, who is clearly doing a better job promoting the restaurant than I am. 😂👏
So yes, this is Tuesday’s post.
On Wednesday.
With a customer’s photo.
Because at Nicki’s Bella Marina, we don’t believe posts should be restricted by ridiculous little technicalities like calendars, clocks, remembering to take pictures—or being even slightly organized.
Nobody has ever looked at gorgeous salmon, a gooey cheeseburger, crispy fish and chips, or a cold drink and said:
“Absolutely not. That would have been delicious yesterday, but it’s Wednesday now.”
