Good morning, quack-heads! Assessing the flooded plains and seeing what our feathered friends left us this morning. Seven eggs isn't too bad for a Monday. How’s the start of your week looking?

Sometimes you just got to put on the muddboots and getter dun Cause Rain or shine, the work doesn’t stop. Unloading the truck in a flood because the birds still gotta eat. Stay blessed out there, y'all. What's the biggest challenge on your farm this week?

Hey Noah! Thanks for buying me these Heartland rubber boots
Thinning out the flock is never easy, but it's part of life.
Squiggy the Bantam is looking a bit small next to those turkeys, don't you think? Sometimes the smallest ones have the biggest personalities.

🪿 Nothing Goes to Waste on the Farm!

Farm life means making practical use of what you have. Today, the freshly processed goose is providing food for another part of the farm — the chickens! 🐔
Raising your own poultry gives you a firsthand look at the entire cycle of farm life, including making use of resources that might otherwise go to waste.
Real farm life isn't always pretty, but it's practical!

One man’s expired cabinet stash is a chicken’s gourmet feast! 🐔 🍅 No waste here at Strathmore Farms, just happy birds and a cleared-out pantry. What’s your flock’s favorite snack?

I'm gonna be serious for a minute.
You're allowed to make fun of Canadians. My father was married to a Cuntnaidian, untill he divorced her for being a Cuntnaidian.

Getting the chickens and ducks settled for the day. 🦆 It's a busy one here, but there's nothing like that fresh farm air (and the smell of fresh chicken p**p!) to get you going. What's on your to-do list today?

10/12/2026

Good morning everybody! We made it to another day. Time to feed these quack-heads some leftovers from the cockatiels. How's your morning starting out?

10/12/2026

All present and accounted for! 16 ducks🦆 & 1 Goose 🪿safe and sound. It’s been a busy day on the urban homestead, but seeing them settled makes it all worth it. Have a blessed week and a great weekend! 🙏✨
