Good morning, everyone! There seems to be a bit of confusion about what our space will be, so we thought we'd clear up some things!
What we are not:
*A grocery store, we will not be selling eggs, milk, raw meat, seafood, toilet paper, etc. Harvest Fare is half a block from us, and they have all that covered, and are friendly and inexpensive. If you haven't been, go check them out!
*A tea shop. Yes, our space was previously occupied by Emma's Tea Spot, they have relocated to Lauraville. They're still in business, and you should go see their new space! But we are not replicating her business.
*A restaurant. Yes, we have tables for you to sit and eat, but there is no table service, no servers, and no time limits on how long you can occupy your seat!
What we are:
*Fine Foods and Delicatessen. What does that mean? It means we sell specialty goods, like fresh bread, tinned fish, olives, oils and vinegars, spreads, cheeses, cured meats, pate, salads (like broccoli salad, bean salad, kale salad), soup, cold and hot sandwiches, drinks, cookies/brownies, cheesecake, chips, etc
*An ice cream shop! We'll have a smallish selection of ice cream, served in cones or bowls, for you sit and enjoy, or take with you as you stroll the neighborhood
*A community space. We have tables for two, tables for 10, and tables between. We have low tables, and high tables looking out of our gorgeous, big windows. Feel free to bring your laptop and use our wifi. Bring your family. Bring your club. Bring your co-workers. Have a meeting. We have a large table for 10 (12 if we squeeze) in the back that can absolutely be reserved, and if you want to order sandwiches ahead of time, we can do that!
*A space to enjoy on First Fridays, with local art, later hours, and special events
*A space for you to hold your own special events! You can take advantage of our evenings, when we are closed, to hold your private event! We can cater through our own shop, or through Silver Queen Cafe
*A place for special events, like charcuterie classes, food pairing, cheese tastings, etc. We love a good party!
Where do we park??
*We have a few private spaces behind the market, and the entire lot behind that is free parking!!
And lastly... When are we opening??? Oh, how we wish we had an answer for you. Ideally, by the end of the month, but we'll keep you informed as we go through the inspection process ❤️
