🎨 The painting everyone asks about…

If you’ve been to Red River Cafe, you’ve probably seen it. People take pictures with it, ask about it, and some have even asked if they can buy it.

But here’s the secret… it was painted by Charlie, our chef, who has been part of the Red River Cafe family for more than 40 years. ❤️

Yes, our Charlie! the one who has been cooking up your favorite breakfasts for over four decades, is also the artist behind this painting!

A little hidden piece of Red River Cafe history, created by one of the people who helped make our history. 🎨

And for everyone who has asked… sorry, folks... It’s not for sale! 😉

✨ 44+ years serving Austin, one delicious plate at a time.

Just a little reminder of a place that has been part of Austin for 44 years. ❤️

Red River Cafe is one of the few original local businesses still standing in the same spot, through all the changes and growth this city has seen.

44 years of early mornings, pancakes, coffee, game days, family breakfasts, and countless memories.

Austin has changed so much… and we’re so happy to still be here, serving our community one breakfast at a time. ☕️🥞❤️

Our 44th anniversary is coming in October, but today we just wanted to share a little love for this place we’re so proud to call home.
