The Ashland Area Tool Library loans a variety of tools to people in Ashland and surrounding areas.

If you anticipate needing any of these for Christmas decorations, don't purchase them. I've had cases of them donated and have enough for everyone for free. In addition, I'm guessing I've had about 40 trees donated so far, a few tree decorations and light strands, and a bit of other miscellaneous decorations. I anticipate giving more Christmas cheer out this year than ever before. So I can definitely use more trees and decorations if anyone has any to donate.

Christmas giveaways will be November 21st and 28th and December 5th and 12th. Anyone who wants to volunteer to help set up on those days please mark it on your schedule and let me know. 🧑‍🎄🎄🎄🧑‍🎄

Just a word of warning, don't ever do work for Sabra Back unless you are prepared to eat a lot of good food. In about three weeks there demoing and remodeling her bathroom, I gained almost 10lbs- not even kidding. She sent me home with chili one night- enough that I ate it 3 nights. Another she made kielbasa, cooked cabbage and fried potatoes. She sent me home with the best cupcakes night after night- Reese's peanut butter and chocolate, Raspberry Vanilla, and and my very favorite banana cream were just some of the flavors. She even made me old fashioned Hershey's chocolate fudge like my Mom used to make. In the end, I got some fat on these old bones and Sabra got this beautiful new bathroom.

FYI- I am not going to be available to put out loans this Saturday or Sunday. If you anticipate needing something over the weekend you will need to pickup Friday evening after 730pm and it would be due back by 7pm Sunday. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I have 8 and possibly 9 charity yards to do tomorrow and I could use a volunteer to run the weedeater and leaf blower. If you'd be interested in helping for part or all of it, I'd really appreciate the help. Just shoot me a message, thanks.

Big thank you to everyone who bought the used equipment from me over the weekend. It all sold and I've already heard back from several of you that you were able to fix what you bought. That's awesome, hope you get some good use out of it :)

Altogether, the equipment sale raised almost $500. I used part of it already to buy this new carpet cleaner. The ones we had were on their last leg so very happy to have this one available! The rest of the funds will be used to buy much needed extra batteries for all of the new battery equipment we have.

Truly appreciate all of you who shared those posts about the equipment sale. You doing that is what makes everything I do here so successful ❤️❤️❤️

UPDATE: Everything is sold except a few parts mowers as of about 2:30.

Still have some non- working equipment for sale. Moved a bunch of it yesterday, thanks to all of you who came, raised around $300. I'll be around until 1 pm today if you want to come by. Everything in the pics is available as of this post. $10 a piece for all fixable equipment $5 a piece for anything out of the bone yard.

UPDATE: As of 5pm I still have a couple of mowers, several weedeater, 2 blowers, 4 pressure washers and 2 tillers and several parts mowers.

End of season lawn equipment sale. I have a huge overstock of equipment that isn't running and no time to fix it all. All of this, except the parts equipment, has been evaluated to have compression and spark meaning there's a good chance to get them running fairly easily or has broken pull cord or cables and are believed to be in condition to get running again. I can NOT guarantee you'll get them running but any of them that I am selling, except the parts equipment, I do believe that there is a good chance they are fixable with a fairly minimal amount of work.

Asking $10 a piece for weedeaters and leaf blowers & $20 a piece for mowers, pressure washers, tillers and chainsaws.

The last couple of pictures are of parts equipment- any of those are yours for $5 a piece.

Just make a reasonable offer if you want multiple of any combination of them.

Excellent opportunity for anyone wanting to repair through the fall and winter and sale in the spring or use for themselves next year. I'll use the proceeds to buy mainly more batteries for my new battery operated equipment and some other new things I need for the tool library.

I'll be around all day so just give me a holler when you get here . My guess is that it's probably best to come as soon as possible.

UPDATE: 100% OF EVERYTHING IS GONE!

Free Stuff is ready for pickup. There are some nice rugs, storage units that need cleaned but are all there and work good. Several tools, household items like robot vacuum, microwave, mini fridge and much more.

Before you message me at work READ THE FOLLOWING - IT ANSWERS YOUR QUESTIONS:

-First come first serve, I never ever hold anything under any circumstances, so no need to tell me a sad story of why you need me to hold it.

-It's here until it's gone. Don't ask if something is still available, I won't know because I have to leave for work and won't be home until about 730pm- if anything is left then I'll post a picture.

-ATTENTION: ONLY STUFF ON THE LEFT SIDE OF DRIVEWAY GOES. DO NOT TAKE MY 6' FOLD UP TABLES THE STUFF IS SITTING ON. DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING FROM THE GARAGE AND NO MY TRAILER ISNT PART OF IT.

-DO NOT PARK IN THE ALLEY!

-Anyone taking the storage containers are welcome to come down the alley to load them.

"Free Stuff" day Wednesday. If any of you have Fall or Halloween decorations you no longer want please drop them off today or tomorrow, just leave them in the garage. Will also accept anything else you want to donate except clothing, I do not take clothing at all. Free stuff will feature those types of decorations, but also have other household items, tools and miscellaneous things. I will post pics Wednesday, likely around 11 or a little after when I get everything put out.

Please don't come until pics are posted. I am usually busy between 10 and 11 with morning tool pickups with cars coming and going so I don't want everyone coming early for the free stuff. Also when you come, do not block the alley, park on the street on Spring Park in front of my house or on Ferguson behind my house. There are 4 houses down this dead end alley that use it for a driveway, we cannot block it.

Many of you already know the Ashland Area Tool Library is about much more than loaning tools. Spreading Kindness any way I can is the real mission. In addition to the tool loans, we have the "Free Stuff" giveaway days- look for another one soon, and I've done more than 70 free projects this year including home repairs, small engine repairs, and yard cutting- hoping to top the 100 I did last year. But probably my favorite is the Christmas tree, decorations, and toys give away days.

Last year, I gave away 64 trees and a ton of all types of Christmas decorations and toys. This year I'm hoping to surpass that- I think 100 trees are possible. So, I've planned 4 weekends to give away free trees and decorations. It'll start on November 21st, the weekend before Thanksgiving. Then each of the 3 following weekends as long as supplies hold out.

Like the "Free Stuff" give aways what I have to give depends on what all the community donates. You have already donated about 30 trees, the most I've ever had at this point in the year- thank you all! So if you are digging out Halloween decorations and come across artificial Christmas trees you are deciding to part with or replace please consider donating them to me so I can re-home them instead of them ending up in a landfill. You wouldn't even believe the need, some of the heart felt stories and words of appreciation I hear when giving out Christmas trees, decorations and toys.

I take any artificial Christmas trees, any size, that are in good shape- I do take prelit trees that have lights that no longer work. However I only take strands of lights that do work, nobody has time to try to fix those, lol. Last year some folks bought and donated new trees, toys, blankets, tree decorations, miscellaneous decorations and wrapping paper. But I do take all of those things used but in decent shape please. I appreciate all of you who donate and share these post so folks know we accept these donations and folks who need them know we will have them available. Hope all of you have a nice Labor Day weekend!
