Farm to table…eventually. 😅

These asparagus crowns are officially in the ground at Bread and Butter Kitchen, and if all goes well, they’ll be absolutely delicious in… about 3 years. 🌱

Fun fact: asparagus is a long game. After planting, it typically takes about 3 years before you can fully harvest it. But once established, a healthy asparagus bed can keep producing for 15 to 20 years.

See you in 2029, asparagus.

It's that time of year! IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR 5/19 & 5/20 ⬇

Today and tomorrow our parking lot will have an attendant at the entrance on Second Street (First Street entrance is closed off). This is to ensure tenants and their customers are able to park to access their offices for work.

That said, our customers are still able to park in the Yacht Haven lot. Upon arriving at the cones on Second Street, the attendant will provide a parking pass to be displayed in your front window. The attendant will write your name and phone number on the pass, as well as the time entered. Parking will be limited to 90 minutes.

Parking availability in the lot is not guaranteed.

Parking PSA from Monica, because we want your visit to end with a scone, not a ticket.

When you’re coming to Bread & Butter Kitchen, remember that we’re part of Yacht Haven, so you’re welcome to park in any space marked Yacht Haven.

You can also find parking along Second Street.

We know parking can be a little confusing, so we wanted to make it easier for our community to swing by, grab breakfast, enjoy some Hippie Hash, sip your coffee, and avoid getting ticketed or towed.

Hope to see you soon at Bread & Butter Kitchen. Come hungry.

Heads up, Eastport! To keep the peninsula from being at a traffic standstill after the Blue Angels air show on Tuesday, 5/19, and Wednesday 5/20 (approx 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.), the Annapolis Police Department will implement a special egress plan (see map). If you watch the show from the Eastport side (or live in Eastport), expect more limited parking than usual and a few detours designed to keep things moving.

Road Closures (after the show)
- 6th Street will be closed in both directions between Chesapeake Ave and Severn Ave.
- Tyler Avenue will be closed to outbound traffic between Bay Ridge Ave and President St.
- The Eastport/Spa Creek Bridge *may* be closed, depending on traffic conditions up Main Street and out King George Street

Temporary Pattern Shift:
On Tuesday and Wednesday after the air show(s), APD will funnel traffic in two streams to ensure a smoother exit. With this temporary traffic pattern, traffic signals will flash yellow. Follow APD direction at these intersections.
- Departing from Chesapeake Avenue: Follow Chesapeake to Bay Ridge Avenue out toward Forest Drive. Pro Tip: You can use Forest Hills Ave as an alternate exit route to get to Forest Drive.
- Departing from Severn Avenue: You will be rerouted! After crossing 6th Street, you will be directed to take a right on Washington St, then a left on Boucher Ave, then a left on President St to head outbound to Tyler/Hilltop and get to Forest Drive.

Please note that these changes are temporary and designed to help clear traffic off the peninsula as quickly as possible on Tuesday and Wednesday. Traffic signals in the area will be switched to flashing. Thank you in advance for following APD direction!

EASTPORT PARKING: There will be no Parking on Tuesday and Wednesday (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.) on the inbound side of Severn Avenue between 1st St. and 6th St. and the inbound side of Chesapeake Avenue between 1st and 5th (with no parking between 5th and 6th) so that public safety and rescue vehicles/equipment can pass and stage for the Blue Angels.

Almost too pretty to eat. Almost.

Our Beet Hummus Toast is served on multigrain bread with avocado, feta, pepitas, and a side of kale salad. It’s bright, fresh, hearty, and absolutely worth digging into.

Come grab one in Eastport.
