Incredibly proud of the wine list we have built over the decades. For the past 22 consecutive years, we have received the “Best of Award of Excellence” from Wine Spectator. This level of recognition has only been given to 23 restaurants in all of Baltimore, Washington DC and Annapolis with us being the sole representative from Annapolis. Additionally, just one other restaurant has been on this list as long as us (Capital Grille in DC). Huge thank you to our Wine Director, Patrick Kelly, for the work he does to maintain our list! We are so fortunate to have such a great team!

Happy Father’s Day to all Dads out there! Our father, Charlie (middle), changed the concept and created Lewnes’ Steakhouse back in 1994. He was and is still an excellent role model of how to live life with hospitality. We couldn’t be more grateful to have our Dad as a part of our lives!

Happy Mother’s Day to a couple special women in the Lewnes Family: Pam and Kim Lewnes.
Pam Lewnes is the matriarch of the Lewnes family! Pam was a Special Educator for Anne Arundel County Public Schools for 34 years. On her weekends, she helped Charlie (her husband and our father) at the restaurant when it was Sam’s Corner. Now as Lewnes’ Steakhouse we are continuing the family business that all started in 1921. We are so fortunate to have such an amazing woman as a mother.

Kim Lewnes is married to Mack and has been nothing short of an amazing addition to the Lewnes family the last ten years. She’s managed to be unbelievably supportive of the demanding hours it takes to run a small business all while she’s earned tons of success as the Head Coach of the Naval Academy’s Women’s Cross Country Team. And of course, Kim is a superstar mother to their two little ones, Lily(4), and Ridge(1)

Join us as we take you back into our long food service history. It all began with a modest pushcart food business, started by Sam Lewnes in the early 1900s. Now, we have grown into a full-service steakhouse, committed to serving high-quality U.S. Prime aged steaks and providing a memorable dining experience.
