StradaFit Safe StradaFit - Smart wearable safety designed to alert cyclists, runners and pedestrians of approaching vehicles.

StradaFit helps you stay aware and move with confidence on every run.

Imagine walking along a road.
You hear traffic. You know vehicles are nearby. But you don't always know when one is approaching from behind.
So you turn around.

Then again a few moments later.
That constant checking can interrupt your rhythm and take your attention away from what you're doing.

StradaFit is exploring a different approach: detecting approaching vehicles and using vibration to alert the wearer.

The idea is to help people receive an alert without needing to rely on an audio notification or repeatedly turn around to check.

It's a simple user-experience question with an important design challenge behind it:
How can technology help people stay aware without becoming another distraction?

That's the question we're working to answer with StradaFit.

Some ideas begin with a technology.
Others begin with something people experience every day but rarely stop to think about.

StradaFit began with a question about road awareness: what could help someone become aware of a vehicle approaching from behind without constantly looking back?

That question has become the starting point for developing a personal road-safety system.
Now, the work is about bringing the right elements together: sensing technology, wearable design, engineering, testing, and a path toward manufacturing.

We're working toward a functional prototype and building relationships with people who understand what it takes to move a hardware concept forward.

We know that meaningful innovation requires more than an idea. It takes expertise, collaboration, and the willingness to solve difficult problems.

If you're working in sensing technology, hardware engineering, manufacturing, or early-stage product development, we'd be interested in exchanging ideas.

A great product idea is only the beginning.
The real work is turning that idea into something people can trust.
With StradaFit, we’re now working toward the functional prototype.
But we’re also thinking beyond the prototype.
How do we engineer it properly?
How do we manufacture it?
How do we make it comfortable?
How do we make it reliable?
And ultimately, how do we bring it to the people who need it?
That’s why building the right ecosystem around StradaFit matters.
We’re continuing to build relationships across engineering, manufacturing, investment and strategic partnerships.
I’m particularly interested in connecting with people who understand what it takes to take a physical technology product from concept → prototype → market.
Because the next stage isn’t just about having an idea.
It’s about building something that can last.
The product is moving forward. Now we’re building the ecosystem around it.

We already have enough devices telling us how many steps we took today.

So we asked a different question.
What if a wearable could help us understand what’s happening around us?

That’s where StradaFit is different.
We’re not trying to build another device competing with Apple Watch, Garmin, or Fitbit.
StradaFit has a different purpose.

It’s being developed as a personal road safety system for people who run, walk, cycle, or move near traffic.
The focus is awareness.
The idea is simple:
A vehicle approaches from behind.
StradaFit detects it.

The wearer receives a vibration alert.
No need to constantly look over your shoulder.
No need to stop what you’re doing.
Just a simple signal that something may need your attention.

We’re still building toward the functional prototype, but the purpose has remained the same from the beginning:
Make moving near traffic a little more informed.

StradaFit didn’t start with a business plan.
It started with my wife.
She was riding her bike when a driver wasn’t paying attention, and she was nearly seriously injured.

Thankfully, she was okay.
But that moment stayed with me.
I kept thinking about how vulnerable someone can be when they’re outside a vehicle.

You can be doing everything right.
You can be paying attention to the road ahead.
You can be wearing a helmet.

You can be focused on where you’re going.
And still, something can approach from behind that you simply don’t know is there.

That experience made me ask a question:
Why shouldn’t the person outside the vehicle have another layer of awareness too?

That question became StradaFit.
We’re building a personal road safety system designed to help runners, cyclists and pedestrians become aware of approaching vehicles from behind through a vibration alert.
Not another fitness tracker.

Not something designed to distract you.
Something designed around a very specific problem that became very real for my family.
Today, we’re working toward the functional prototype while continuing to build the right engineering, manufacturing, investment and strategic partnerships around StradaFit.

I started this because I wanted something that could help my wife.
Now I’m building it because I believe it could help many other people who share the road.
Sometimes the most meaningful products come from problems you never wanted to experience in the first place.

10/02/2026

I didn’t start StradaFit because I wanted to build another wearable.
I started thinking about it because of something much more personal.

Living in the Florida Panhandle, I had seen too many stories involving runners, cyclists, walkers, and vehicles.
Then my wife was nearly seriously injured while riding her bike because a driver wasn’t paying attention.

That stayed with me.
Afterward, I kept thinking about how vulnerable someone can be when they’re outside a vehicle.
You’re riding.
You’re running.
You’re walking.

Your attention is forward. Maybe you have headphones in. Maybe you’re focused on your workout.
And meanwhile, a vehicle can be approaching from behind without you realizing it.

That led me to a question:
Cars already have technology that helps drivers know when something is in a blind spot. Why couldn’t we create a similar layer of awareness for the person outside the vehicle?

That question became StradaFit.
The vision is simple: develop a wearable safety device that can detect potential approaching vehicles from behind and alert the wearer through vibration.

Not another fitness tracker.
Not something designed to compete with Apple Watch, Garmin, or Fitbit.
A dedicated product focused on one problem:
Road awareness.

We’re still early. We’re building, testing, learning, and working toward a functional prototype.
There’s a lot we still need to prove.
But the reason I started hasn’t changed.
If StradaFit can give someone a few extra seconds of awareness, those seconds could matter.
That’s why I’m building it.

10/01/2026

The wearable market has become very good at measuring us.
Steps.
Heart rate.
Distance.
Pace.
Calories.
Sleep.

But StradaFit isn’t trying to measure another part of your workout.
It’s focused on something completely different:
What’s happening around you?
When you’re running, walking, or cycling near moving traffic, your attention is naturally directed forward.

StradaFit is being developed around the space you can’t easily see.
The goal is not to replace your smartwatch.
It’s not designed to compete with Apple Watch, Garmin, or Fitbit.

It’s being built around one specific problem:
Road awareness.
One problem.
One purpose.

One potential layer of protection.
And that focus is what makes building StradaFit so interesting.

Your car can tell you when something is in its blind spot.
That got me thinking.

Drivers have increasingly sophisticated systems helping them understand what they may not see.
But step outside the vehicle.

Put on your running shoes.
Get on a bike.
Start walking along a road.

Suddenly, that layer of awareness disappears.
You’re expected to rely on your eyes, your ears, or turning your head to know what’s approaching from behind.

That question became one of the ideas behind StradaFit:
Why should awareness technology stop at the vehicle?

We’re exploring what it could look like to create a dedicated wearable safety layer for people outside the vehicle.
Detect potential approaching traffic.
Alert the wearer through vibration.
Give them more awareness of what’s happening behind them.

It sounds simple.
But sometimes the simplest questions lead to the most interesting products.

Sometimes you build something because you see an opportunity.
Other times, you build something because you wish it already existed.

StradaFit is the second one for me.
After what happened with my wife, I couldn’t stop thinking about how little awareness a person can have of what’s approaching from behind while they’re on the road.

And the more I thought about it, the more questions came.
Could technology help?

Could it provide an alert without requiring someone to constantly look behind them?
Could it work alongside the way people already run, walk, or cycle?

Could it provide another layer of awareness without becoming another complicated device?
Those questions became the foundation for StradaFit.

The goal isn’t to promise that technology can eliminate road danger.
It can’t.

The goal is to build a personal road safety system that can help a person become aware of an approaching vehicle from behind through a simple vibration alert.
We’re now working toward the functional prototype.

There will be testing.
There will be things we need to change.
There will be lessons we haven’t learned yet.
That’s part of building something new.
What matters to me is that we keep solving the right problem.

So as StradaFit moves forward, I’m excited to continue bringing together the people who can help turn this idea into a real-world product across technology, manufacturing, investment, and strategic partnerships.
For now, I’ll keep building.

Because this started with one simple thought:
What if people could have a better chance of knowing what’s coming from behind?
That’s StradaFit.

And we’re just getting started.
