Good Morning!! HOT IN… so hot in here 🥵 uh‼️ Nelly needs to come on and run it back with a remix of “Hot in Herre” cause lemme tell ya! 🤒 Huge shout out to our incredible staff for working hard in this heat!!! ‼️‼️💯💯 Chef K here to say I’m SEAUX proud of Gumbo2Geaux and all the little advances we have made over the years. I thank y’all for being graceful and patient with us as we learn and grow. This summer we introduced online ordering and wow! y’all have been absolutely loving it. I often stress to new guest that we are a mom & pop shop. 800 square feet! Small and old yes… Yet authentic, small batch, hand crafted, artisan. *if you will* You know… all those adjectives the big corporations throw around in their marketing? We actually are doing that!!
Where I’m from around Rayne, Louisiana the best food always comes from an old run down shack looking gas station or the area of town that’s not really known for being super safe. I much appreciate those of you who understand our concept and love us for what we are.
Hey, who knows! Maybe one day we will have a big fancy sit down restaurant with contemporary decor where our luscious Cajun food is presented on fancy plates, with gold cutlery yeah, okay. 🤣 🤷🏻♀️ But for now everything we serve is in to-go containers and we do things kinda old school like hand writing our online orders and cooking most of our food from scratch. 🤩
I love seeing the reactions from our guests who appreciate these subtle reminders that we are indeed a local and small business. The world is so fast and cold some days it feels like if you stand still you’ll get ran over! I hope to provide a space people can step into, feel grounded, and remember who they are. ❤️ Thank you guys! Love y’all!
