James Tearoom delights guests with its sumptuous three-course traditional Afternoon Tea experience in an elegant parlour setting. Group dining events for 2 to 100; birthdays, showers, anniversaries, business meetings are all welcome. The tearoom is located at the southwest corner of Edith and Osuna. Gluten-Free and Vegetarian menus are available, please place your request when you make your phone reservation. We offer two full dining hours for your enjoyment by reservation only.

Meet Stratfield Saye, a cozy nook named for the English estate of Arthur Wellesley, the first Duke of Wellington. A celebrated soldier, statesman, and eventual Prime Minister, Wellington was known not only for his brilliant strategy, but for the grace, civility, gentility, and excellence with which he carried himself.

We especially love the image of this formidable British general pausing, even amid weighty matters, for tea with his officers. It feels quite fitting for a nook devoted to unhurried conversation and a proper teatime.
