Opus13 String Quartet – one of Europe’s most acclaimed young string quartets

Opus13 is one of Europe’s most celebrated emerging string quartets, having won First Prize at both the Wigmore Hall and Bordeaux International String Quartet Competitions in 2025, as well as receiving the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award in 2026.

Founded in 2014, the quartet consists of Norwegian violinists Sonoko Miriam Welde and Edvard Erdal, alongside Swedish violist Albin Uusijärvi and cellist Daniel Thorell. With roots in both the classical repertoire and Nordic musical traditions, they have quickly established an international reputation.

The concert takes place approximately between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

Tornvillan’s bar opens at 4:00 PM, serving drinks and light snacks before the performance. After the concert, we recommend reserving a table for dinner at Restaurant J.

Next out is Martina Törnvall — a yoga teacher, breathwork facilitator, sauna master, and bodyworker whose work is rooted in the connection between body, breath, and presence.

Drawing from years of experience within yoga, meditation, breathwork, sound healing, and bodywork, Martina creates spaces where guests can slow down, reconnect, and simply be. Her approach is both intuitive and grounded, inviting a deeper awareness of the body and its natural capacity for restoration and balance.

Yoga & Breathwork

Martina’s classes combine movement, breath, meditation, and embodied awareness. Through practices that cultivate both energy and stillness, she guides guests towards greater presence, helping release tension, restore vitality, and reconnect with themselves.

Sauna Rituals

Inspired by Nordic sauna traditions and ritual practices from around the world, Martina’s sauna sessions bring together heat, steam, scent, herbs, and breath. The experience becomes a moment of renewal and reflection, creating space to let go, recharge, and return to what matters most.

Massage & Bodywork

Martina also offers massage and bodywork sessions at Hotel J. Trained in several modalities, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and Ayurvedic techniques, she tailors each treatment to the individual. Her sessions are designed to support relaxation, recovery, and a deeper sense of wellbeing, both physically and emotionally.

Early spring has arrived at Hotel J. Beneath the surface, the garden is slowly waking up — roots stretching deeper, the first greens beginning to emerge, and new life quietly taking shape.

One of the season’s earliest signs is the wild garlic growing throughout the garden. Harvested by our chefs in the kitchen, both the leaves and flowers find their way onto the plate, carrying the fresh, vivid flavors of spring.

Join us for a Mother’s Day Unplugged Wellness Retreat, May 22–23. A calm and restorative escape by the water, created to reflect on motherhood, presence, and a healthier relationship with screen time.

Together with wellness expert Alla Sokolova and Mia Ljungberg Nevado, founder of the LookUp Movement, the retreat includes sound baths, sauna rituals, meditation, thoughtful conversations, and a workshop focused on creating better balance between screen time and real life.

The experience begins with a welcome drink by the fireplace and continues through a full evening and morning of wellbeing, reflection, and rest — all in the peaceful setting of Hotel J.

As part of the retreat, guests will disconnect completely in a phone-free experience from Friday evening until Saturday afternoon.
