Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Greenkeeping team from the future Ponta do Pargo Golf Course to Santo da Serra Golf Club.
This visit is part of a series of initiatives developed by Santo da Serra Golf Club with the aim of promoting the growth of golf across Madeira, strengthening the sport on the island’s west coast, and encouraging the exchange of knowledge and technical collaboration in golf course maintenance.
This event was organized through the joint efforts of Head Greenkeepers Stéphane Renaulaud from the future Ponta do Pargo Golf Course and Telma Granja, Head Greenkeeper at Santo da Serra Golf Club, together with Martinho Gouveia, Head of Maintenance, and with the invaluable collaboration of Nuno Marguisa from John Deere Portugal.
We believe that sharing experiences, best practices, and expertise between teams is essential to enhancing the quality of our courses and contributing to the sustainable development of golf in the region.
It was a pleasure to share our experience and welcome such a motivated team as they embark on this exciting new project. We wish the future Ponta do Pargo Golf Course every success and look forward to continuing this collaboration for the benefit of golf in Madeira.
