Last weekend before we head off on holiday and Matts decided to celebrate with cheesecake!

Isn't it beautiful 😍

Our ever popular White Chocolate & Hokey Pokey Cheesecake is only $10 all weekend - we've even included it on Delivereasy (plus their fee) 🤗

The road works have made getting into our carpark a little confusing - but it all makes sense once you get here 😊

Matt & Telaina are about to head off with their two girls next week - a long overdue family holiday!

Monday the 8th - Wednesday 10th Shaz and Ray will be at the helm, providing delicious coffees, cabinet food and a limited menu.

From Thursday 11th until Thursday 18th Black Rabbit Bannockburn will be closed, re opening for Roast Buffet Thursday on the 18th June!

Black Rabbit Cromwell will still be open during this time from 6.30am - 2.30pm with the same delicious Allpress coffee you love!

New week new Roast!

This week Matt is rolling out
roast pork with cracking,
roast beef with Yorkshire pudding,
roast parsnips, kumara, pumpkin, yams, potatoes, cheesy cauliflower bake and peas & corn - because apparently no roast is complete without peas and corn! 😋

Last week we had a full house, so be sure to book your table - we hate having to turn people away when they made the trip out!

Our chef has been wanting to do a wintery Beef Cheek dish - and has been mulling it over in his head for a few weeks, this is the end result.....

Slow cooked beef cheek on cauliflower puree with roasted brussel sprouts, roasted baby carrots, topped with red wine & thyme jus, chimichurri, crispy corn & bacon crumb.

We put it in our specials menu this weekend and it has been an absolute hit - sold out!!

General consensus was "Best beef cheek ever!!"

Pretty clever our chef!

While this one sold out we still have some pretty tasty specials available for tomorrow aside from our usual Sunday specials!

P.S. this dish will be back - hopefully accompanied with some mulled wine 😋

Our extra nights have exceeded our expectations 10 fold and we want to keep it going, but we need to bring on another person, so Matt can have some much needed family time - by order of Ruby and Eden!

We are looking for a new Chef / experienced cook with the following skills -

✨️ Experience in running breakfast and lunch service - some evenings will be included alongside our head chef.
✨️ Ability to get quality food out quickly.
✨️ Well organised, able to run a team as well as work independently.
✨️ Prepare delicious cabinet food.
✨️ Catering - working with our head Chef to complete catering orders.
✨️ Must be able to work weekends as well as all through our busy season - with usual days off.
✨️ Full knowledge of food safety standards and requirements, as well as the ability to maintain these standards at all times.
✨️ Keep on top of prep lists and stock.

Of course full training will be given to the successful candidate.
