A closer look at the design story behind Pan.

Designed in 2004 by Italian duo Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba of Palomba Serafini Associati, the Pan Collection took the classic cylindrical single-lever mixer and reimagined it through a single, quiet idea borrowed from nature.

The body of the tap is shaped like a tree trunk. The spout and handle aren't fixed onto it but emerge through a soft connection, much like a branch grafted into the trunk of a tree.

That organic, natural language is what's made Pan recognisable two decades on. It remains one of ZucchettiDesign's flagship collections, and is still handcrafted in Italy.

Palomba Serafini Associati, based in Milan, are among the most respected names in Italian design. Pan remains one of their signature works for Zucchetti.

Veloce by ZucchettiDesign takes its name and its spirit from the Italian for "swift". Yabu Pushelberg looked back to the refined automobiles of the 1930s for inspiration: machines capable of astonishing speed, yet so beautifully sculpted they suggested movement even when stationary.

In this clip, the designers share how vintage automotive details, the levers, the controls, the ergonomic grip of a steering wheel, found their way into the tapware itself.

A lovely afternoon at the showroom yesterday welcoming graduates from the Nanette Cameron School of Interior Design. We talked through the latest trends shaping bathware in 2026, from warmer, earthy palettes, the the hottest trends from Europe.

Supporting the next generation of New Zealand designers is something we genuinely care about. The school has been shaping design talent here since 1967, and it's a privilege to share our space, our brands and a bit of what we've learned with people just starting out.

A home reimagined, with the ZucchettiDesign Pan Collection in brushed chocolate quietly at home within it.

We supplied the Pan tapware to this beautifully considered residence by Spatial Studio and Strata Architects, where two neighbouring apartments have been transformed into one expansive home.

The design focused on natural light, distinct yet connected living zones, and a master wing designed as a private sanctuary. The brief was for calm interiors, warm tactile materials, and an easy, natural way of living.

The Pan in brushed chocolate belongs here. Soft, warm, finely made, with the kind of detail that rewards a closer look. Designed by acclaimed Italian duo Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, Pan has become one of Zucchetti's most enduring designs.

As of 2 May 2026, New Zealand's new lead-free and DZR brass requirements are live under G12/AS1 Amendment 14. Every Robertson Bathware tapware product was compliant well before the deadline, so there is nothing to phase out and nothing to second-guess.

If you are specifying for a building consent lodged from 2 May onwards, or installing today, the compliance side is sorted. We have certification and supplier declarations on file for every product in our current range.
