We are deeply saddened to say goodbye to a true gentleman and legend, Paddy Fogarty.
To his daughters Debbie and Geraldine, and their families, we extend our heartfelt sympathies at this difficult time.
Paddy gave so much of his life to the GAA. He had a great love for football and for his beloved club, Waterville, and he always shone brightly when speaking with such passion about it.
As a young man, Paddy moved to Birmingham, where he became a founding member of the St Brendanโs team. He maintained those strong ties throughout his life. It was also there that he met Rose (RIP), from Scotstown Monaghan, and together they shared a love that lasted a lifetime. They created the most wonderful and caring family. Who Paddy was extremely proud of always mentioned with pride of your achievements and accomplishments.
Paddy was ever-present in our lives here in Waterville and will always remain in our thoughts. Here in The Villa, he loved his Tuesday night sessions, sitting front and centre with the gang. We, in turn, loved seeing him beaming behind his accordion, as people sang and clapped along โ each Tuesday bringing new faces and new memories.
Paddy, our dear friend, you will always be in our hearts.
