Long before cocktails and dinner reservations, this building helped Dubliners find work.

The Exchange Bar & Restaurant is housed within the iconic red brick building on the corner of Lord Edward Street and Exchange Street Upper. The current grand civic building dates from around 1915 and was originally built as the Dublin Labour Exchange, designed by the Office of Public Works architects H.G. Leask and M.J. Burke.

It later served as offices for the Revenue Commissioners before being redeveloped into its current use: we just swapped paperwork for cocktails. 🍸⚡
