The best w**es of the Ionian Islands are those of Ithaca, Kefalonia, and the semi-mountainous and mountainous regions of Zakynthos.

They are quite strong and can withstand exportation and, if allowed to age, I believe they would be well received [in England] — especially the red w**e of Ithaca, the finest white w**e of Kefalonia, and the verdea of Zakynthos.
