We will be without power on Wednesday this week due to SSE essential maintenance being carried out nearby, affecting us at The Pub and the car wash.

The pub will be closed until 5pm tomorrow where we will be open for drinks in the evening.

The car wash will be closed the whole day.

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

Our phone lines will be down and we will have limited access to emails so do use social media to reach out to us in case of any pub related emergencies 😅

Thanks for your understanding everyone! And please share with your friends and family. I don’t want anyone having to make a wasted journey to us!

Did you know we serve the best breakfast around? Don’t believe me? Pop in and see, we serve full English’s until 3pm daily, except Sundays which we change it up with a banging roast. However we are getting off topic, don’t take my word for it, come and try the breakfast everyone is talking about 😜

The gentlemen in question, did take back a box of rubbish after he was confronted last night by one of the owners. There’s a woman who responded in the comments to say it was her, however it was 100% a man who was disposing of his rubbish in the bins. Our bins are not visible from the road, and the car drove straight in and reversed straight up to the bins. This wasn’t a case of emptying the rubbish after a long drive. Due to our location this isn’t the first person who feels they can dump their rubbish in our bins. You may think you are being responsible by not littering, but this is not our problem. We have to pay special licensing annually, and monthly fees for our waste removal. Anyone who fly tips in our bin we will expose anyway we feel is appropriate. Call me petty or dramatic, why should we foot the bill for your rubbish?!

Beep beep fly tippers. If you drive a blue car, DN25 thank you for making my evening fun by filling out fly tipping forms online. Feel free to come back tomorrow and get your rubbish.
