The Arch Inn opened in 1973 on the site of the first building built by the British Fishing Society when Ullapool was being established over 200 years ago. Originally it was an Inn and store for fishermen and fish curers, with stabling through the archway for the horses that carried goods overland to the village. Over the years The Arch Inn has changed many times, but still remains at the heart of the village for locals and tourists alike. Situated on the shores of Loch Broom with magnificent views over the Fannich hills, it makes us the ideal base to explore the Scottish Highlands, or stop over if you’re up on business. LOCHBROOM 12K FUNDRAISING WEEKEND
FOR MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT
Friday 18th & Saturday 19th September 2026

Very proud to be supporting Ullapool Forest Runs with this one next weekend.

Now in its third year, Ullapool Forest Runs is pleased to announce that the Lochbroom 12K Fundraiser 2026 will extend over two days
Friday 18th September
Junior Run for Under 14’s starting at 3.00pm from Morefield Play park, Ullapool.
Children must be registered by an adult anytime from 2.15pm on the day.
The route will be announced nearer the time and will include woodland and river paths around Morefield.
Saturday 19th September
Starting at 11.00am, the Lochbroom 12K, and new 6K option, are suitable for runners and walkers. Starting at Clachan Church, Inverbroom IV23 2RZ both distance options are an out and back route, mainly flat and taking in river, woodland and good farm tracks.
Thanks to our sponsors The Arch Inn Ullapool, all participants will receive a medal, with trophies for 12K category winners, therefore entry for the adult events on Saturday 19th September is by prior registration. Please email Kathryn Bennett - [email protected] where you will be allocated a bib number to collect before the start.
Entry by donation
Marquee with hot drinks, breakfast rolls, home baking and raffle.

A very detailed description of the route, along with other event information, will be emailed once registration has been confirmed. Everyone intending to enter must register no later than 5pm on Friday 18th September 2026. Thank You
