The views from the Kilcamb Lodge take in the beautiful vista of Loch Sunart. This sea-loch stretches for 19 miles before emptying into the Atlantic Ocean. Reaching depths of over 400ft, the loch is dotted with small islands, including the conservation Isle of Carna, and has been designated a Marine Protected Area to protect its unique underwater life and habitats.

Visitors to the Kilcamb Lodge can enjoy the loch simply for its beauty, wandering along the shoreline, or arrange activities that include wild-water swimming, kayaking, scuba diving and wildlife watching charters.

Guests to the Kilcamb Lodge are welcomed by our beautifully sculpted eagle. These majestic birds are a common sight across the peninsula, and can often be seen from the hotel gardens, soaring over the loch or riding the thermals above the distant hills of Morvern.

Ardnamurchan is home to both Golden Eagles and White-Tailed Sea Eagles, the latter often simply called Sea Eagles. These birds have nested locally for a number of years and with a huge wingspan of up to 2.5m always provide an awe-inspiring sight, especially when you see them swooping down to scoop fish from the water.

• Crispy smoked mackerel with celeriac remoulade & beetroot salsa
• Peppered venison salami with whipped goat's cheese, candied walnuts & grapes

• Oven baked cod with a herb crust, ratatouille & lemon & dill butter
